Default To all with magnetic drain plugs . . .

. . . do you see ferrous particles on them when you change your oil?

I notice that the very sharp 90-degree edges of mine become mushroomed. I will probably send in my oil for analysis, but this is all a bit alarming.

My brand new rebuild 951 had a little fuzz on the magnet. Normally my 924s doesn't have any metal on it.

I've always had metal sludge with some little splinters on the magnetic drain plugs on any car I have ever owned. Never was an issue.

I had a bit of inner valve spring on mine once (in my S2 cab). When we pulled the cams it turned out it was debris from an old failure but we could see where the broken spring had been from marks on the pocket.

Nothing at all here on the 951

My NA has huge chunks the first time i changed the oil since ownership, but never had a problem since (ran 2+years fine).
