If that is the problem I will be happy and mad. Happy that it was an easy fix and pissed since I spent money on a turbo I didn't need. These little things just get on my nerves.

WesM951: Thanks for the offer. I use a godzilla blow off valve on SFR hard pipes so I would also need an intercooler to intake mainfold pipe. I'll let you know.

Iborroel,
I have some experience with large centrifugal compressors. I sounds very much like surge to me, like others have said. WOT performance tends to support this. The blow of valve (we call them surge valves) is supposed to prevent surge. Frequent surging would cause the compressor bearings to fail in a short time. The leaks could have been a result of high pressure from a bad blow off valve and leaks would tend to lessen the effect. I would be happy to swap blow off valves with you at my house in Maple Valley.

I will be doing the front brakes and wheel bearings on my daughters car this Friday or Saturday.

lleroyb: I will let you know when the turbo is on and the car is back on the road. I would like to try the blow off valve from your car and see what happens. I'll keep you posted.

Oh! Oh!
Good news. It seems that the turbo was the culprit. The new TO4E is installed and displays none of the symptions of my old turbo. The old turbo seems to display some rubbing in the intake by the blades. When you spin it by hand you can hear when the blades are hitting the housing. It doesn't happen every revolution but it does happen. This may have been the problem. I test drove it and pulls like no other. I can't wait to get it properly dynoed. This car is still for sale but I may have to ask for more especially since it seems like all is well. Oh yeah my car is going to get a wax and it should look so much better. The way a fast 944 turbo should look. It isn't going to be like some I have seen on here but it will look way better than it currently does.

lleroyb: Thanks for the offer. My mechanic is going to do the job for me. He is only going to charge me $200 for about 5 hours of work. He needs to wetsand some of the car to get it back to satisfactory condition. Don't worry I will still give you a ride once the car has been dyno tuned. I'll keep you updated.
