Vitesse MAF and 55# injectors
I installed my new vitesse MAF and injectors this weekend. The car starts and runs better cold than it ever has, smooth. Throttle response is instant, and I build 15 psi (or whatever I have MBC set at) by 3100 rpm, the car pulls hard all the way to redline. It will also build a ton more boost in lower gears. It seems to be very driveable on the street. And boy does it sound good under boost, sounds like a small jet taking off. This is by far the best upgrade yet, John has been great and got my July 4th special out to me by Wednesday and I received it on Friday. SCCA event tomorrow, can't wait.
I do have a Huntley Stage II turbo, think it may be leaking oil inside. There is almost no end play. Anyone know the fix for this and approximate cost? It is a garret hybrid, think it was built for huntley by Majestic. I have very little blow by, over 145 on all cylinders, and the car is strong, but oil consumption is 1-2 quarts per 1k miles of spirited driving.

Rebuild probably won't be much more the 350 or 400. Rebuild for k26/6 is usually $350. I wouldn't send it to majestic in texas though. Seems like lots of people have had leaky turbos from them. Do a search for majestic on this forum and you'll see some pictures fromporschhhhh951.

Congrats JL,
HOT **** that's good to hear!!! Mine is should to be here Tues. Injectors are coming from http://www.fiveomotorsport.com/Injector_SetsMODS.asp , turbo is getting converted by http://www.turbo-performance.com/index.htm, and Tial from MySwiss. Still have not made up my mind on boost controller. Which MBC are you using?
Did you use the power resistors with the injectors?
My oil consumption out to Denver was a little high due to my previous 26/6 was peeing oil through the housing.
I am sooooo f$%'n stoked!

After the head rebuild the oil consumption is almost zero !!!

I am running the resistors for the injectors. I can not tell you what a difference the MAF has made to the car. I am not running a name brand MBC, it is a ball bearing, sping tensioned unit. I had a Accuboost, but like the no name better, little harder to adjust (requires tools) but does a great job.
