WTB: Milledge camshaft
Probably going to end up ordering a new one anyways, but figured I would ask. I hate buying something new, then a week later having it show up on the forums for half of what I paid!! I am looking for the "PHT CS-19" which can be seen on their site, www.jmengines.com .
Anyone have one of these laying around they want to sell?

Teddy, dont limit yourself to the camshaft on the site... You may also consider the 8SR/S3SR-19 or perhaps -21 depending on your goals. JME can grind something to your goals, which is uber important with cam work...

I agree with NZ. I also don't think you will have a very easy time finding a used JME cam. The average A Hole doesn't understand their value, thus doesn't buy them. Those that do can probably sell them for close to original cost. I'm putting one in when I do my rebuild, ...if Vitesse doesn't come up with one for me first.

Thanks for the info guys. The cam I selected pretty much fits my needs, and can be used with stock springs. Now if I can get milledge to pick up the phone!

I believe he has gone to Asia to reflect and meditate upon how he might improve the performance of the racecar he built which recieved a spanking at this year's Sebring GT3 race at the hands of a Vitesse turboe'd car....

No offense to Milledge, but can't you just have Crane or someone custom grind one for you? My friend with a Bretta had 2 custom ground for him, IIRC it only cost him like $300. (each or together i dunno) This is what I was thinking about doing.

He will only get back to you if he likes your voice and/or he senses you will actually buy alot of $ worth and/or he's in a very good mood and/or the stars are aligned.

What was the name of the driver of the Milledge car? I am not up on the details of this race, but it is unfair to compare two builders based on the results of a race driven by drivers of unequal ability.
It is not even a worthwile discussion to compare Vitesse to Milledge, one is a parts vendor, one is an engine builder. One caters to street drivers, one to track. One works on a much smaller budget, I could go on.

What makes you think Milledge would have a lesser driver in his car. The guy has only been building race winning cars for 30 years, especially 944 series cars. And what in the WORLD would make you think that Vitesse would have a larger budget, than JME, whose company is legendary in the turbo porsche community? I understand your question, and it's valid, in terms of driver talent. I just don't understand where you could even remotely rate the JME organization as any type of underdog. Vitesse is composed of a grand total of...wait for it, one guy. Either way, this isn't meant to be a contentious post, nor am I picking a fight. I just don't understand your reasoning, other than the possibilities of driver differences. BTW Special Tool SHOULD be totallu loyal to Vitesse. They have done great stuff together, but he was just having a little fun at the expense of the great motor monk John Milledge.

Since ST shared the info already, let me clarify. The 951 GT3 car that won Sebring few months back was using the Stage 3 turbo as everyone using Stage 3 has.
There is lots more to win a race, I can't take credit to any of it. I promised the guy a certain HP output with the turbo, I delivered and he won.
