yeah, more on the spacers, Yo!
What if they were made of delrin or some phenolic material for diminished heat transfer, and o-ringed on both sides to replace the paper gasket . . .

Hmmmm now I wonder if its better to weld on some spacers or make a new intake, I think spacers will make the intake hit my Racing Dynamics brace. There is only 3-4mm gap there.

NZ you of all people should know that everything is give and take!! Which do you prefer HP of your strut brace??? ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
As far as the spacers go, there is not much to tell. I had a guy make spacers out of billet aluminum that were about 15mm thick IIRC. As I stated before I installed studs in the head and sandwiched the spacers with OE intake gaskets. The front slotted mount to the left of the throttle body could no longer be used but it made no differance. I cut two aluminum spacers out of round stock on the lathe and TIG welded them to the intake at the back for the two 5mm bolts that go into the bracket by the oil separator.
Pretty simple.

I prefer to talk more than give though! lol I will likely be making a new 8 injector manifold by the looks of things, should be fun designing!

Hey NZ,
If I live in a country with your kind of wheather I would
want a 951 cabrio no less.
Speaking of intake, take another look at the Pulsar unit.
It's just what the doctor ordered.

Really Pulsar you say? GTIR? Got a pic? I found a source of ally extrusions I was about to order!
There are no 951 cabs here! Only 968 and S2.
If you are talking about the ITB one, I think the volume may be too small for a 2.5. I have calculated a plenum volume of 3.75 litres possible in my design with ally gauge large enough to sand down the tigs.

Yes the GTI R intake NZ. Remember we has a brief
discussion in a thread you posted ? You can also check
out the RB26 as they too have individual TB but I'm
not sure of the size. If you can, visit some Jap imports.
You may be inn for a surprise. Since you're going all out,
why bother building just a manifold. Go individual TBs.
It's gonna give you better throttle response to compensate
for the large turbo that you're going to install.

The TB's are just too small, the plenum of oval shapped and orientated the wrong way IIRC. I was looking at one today in a mates garage. I think my design will be fine... and CHEAP!
I would need to get new ITB's and its just not worth it I dont think. RB25's are not exactly common! Or cheap.
