I've have been thinking of fish gill stuff for quite
sometime but wanted something that does
not look ugly. Theres a solution but I can't find
a used one. Take a look at the Benz E series.
They have a bonnet vent close to the fire wall.
That one would be effective without looking ugly

They are the guys that built a 968 turbo RS replica
which they use to race in the Tas series in NZ.
Run a check in google. BTW, I don't think it would
look that nice on the 951 cause the 968 have longer
bonnets which slope downwards.

it would look better than guppy lungs!
David, what you describe is what I'm talking about. When I look at the 968 ts hood, I see out for IC heat, but ram air against internal bay heat. That's what has to go. So what do we do from here. We're on the right track. Let's figure it out, and find a way to fix it, for us, and everybody, and perhaps make a tidy profit. any takers?

Would a series of THIN louvered vents along the top end of the bonnet work? Maybe plastic screw in ones? ala the 924 GT vents but only two fins in height and maybe a little wider?

Here's the rub. We want the vent to pull air as effectively as possible, but not look like we stole it from the ceiling of our houses. What about an NACA duct, reversed, with a slight lip on the leading edge? The actual outlet ,which would be hard to see from any angle other than vert., could perhaps be oval shaped. It could even taper slightly toward the front of the hood. (the orifice i mean.) Wouldn't that accomplish the goal, AND look good?
I just don't see the ramair worling without a directed outlet, or the 924 carrera hood scoop would work.
Thaoughts?
