We mean: Running tap water in your cooling systems is BAAAD.
Use distilled water - in gallon jugs from your local market.

Is it OK then to run 100% coolant with no water mix or are there disadvantages in doing this?

I've heard the glycol in antifreeze will destroy the clutch plate if it spills in the inspection hole on top of the bell housing.

Hummm...

You think driving for 5 miles in the POURING rain would help wash it off?

Maybe i should go spray the hose in the clutch hosing.

Yea, you'd think - but there's that hole conveniently right on top of the bell housing for coolant to get in there. Rain water splashing up would likely not get to that spot due to the body pan and such. . . I wouldn't go hosing out your clutch either, but you might want to check and see how much got in there. I recall someone posting recently what a wise investment it was to put either a metal line, drip / spill pan or plug there to prevent this.

You need to bleed your cooling system VERY WELL. The first hose that blew on you also blew on me, and yes, it makes you think HG or something worse. A little air in that system will have hoses popping left and right. Ask me how I know;( I prged the system 6 times, and still had bubbles, but none that I knew about. Really sucked. Anyway, now I have a stant pressure tester. Much better! Good luck w/ the hose fix.

OK so i replaced all the hoses that are on the back side of the motor. So since the rebuild of the motor, 95% of the hoses have been replaced. We bleed the system for a good while today. (i.e. bleeding it once, then letting it sit for a hour or two then bleed again.) we did it about 3 times and there was nothing but water coming out and it doesn't even get to or above the first line on the temp gauge.

I just hope it last this time, and let me say those hoses are tucked in there and you have to break your wrist to get dem boys outa there haha.

Just goes to show that you should replace all your hoses at once
