Default "The 944 is gone"

So said my wife when she called around 1:30 this afternoon. Damn don't you hate hearing something like that?

No worries, it's on a flatbed headed to the pros for electrical r&r. The alternator is toast (literally), the a/c clutch won't operate, battery is d-d-d-dead, and god knows what else.

I tried a couple weeks ago and finally threw in the towel. But work has been soooo busy I haven't been able to even arrange to tow it to the shop! But she's finally there and I *will* have my car back next week.

Already done the "since I'm in there"...the alternator and battery are practically the only things that haven't been replaced and sure enough, guess what went. I just want to drive it again.
