Turbostar, I'd say 18psi would be safe. What turbo do you have again?

The famous question: "How much boost"? If you have an efficient turbo, it's tuned properly, and running the proper gas 20+psi is not a problem. I run my race car (stock internals, WideFire & Oring) at 22+psi all the time...

On the street, on pump gas stick to 15psi.. (well, you can go a bit higher but I'll never admit to it!).

On the street, with few busrts, you getaway with plenty. On the track, you have to manage heat, larger oil coolers even larger intercoolers...

For a 2.8L that's otherwise unbuilt AND a daily driver I'd say 15-ish is good. I plan on running the Callaway (that will initially have a 2.8L stroker - currently being built in my garage) at 20-ish psi, but that won't be a daily driver either. . .

I making more than enough power at 15psi , I can't imagine needing more.
There just aren't many cars out there that will stay with a modified 951.

David gave me a ride in his 2.8 runing 15psi, it pulled like nothing I've experienced before ! At 20 it would be ridiculus!

Who is Dave and what mods are on his 2.8L?

Also in my short time on this board I have learned that what some people think is ridiculous others think is just about right.

BTW - I rode in Bill's 2.5L pulling 21PSI and 325 RWHP (sorry if im off on the numbers a little....recalling from memory) and that was one hell of a ride.

David Floyd's car . 2.8L Vitesse stage5 I think.
I guess you must get use to the power in time but still... how much do you really need on the street.

You've probably got the Z06 covered at 15psi. What does the M3 put out?

greg is running a super chip program with a custom tune from mike.

its a fully head's/cam/built 302. I forgot what his intake lift is but, its alot. You should hear that thing lope at the light...it sounds very mean.

btw he is putting down more than 300rwhp N/A just on the motor. Hes putting a 200shot on it soon.
