Vacuum Manifold (and other stuff)
Well, I finally made (a rather large) batch #5 of the Vacuum Manifolds (picture) and will contact those who have showed interest this week. Anybody who feels overlooked by next weekend please let me know either here or by PM.
As mentioned previously I have increased the price slightly to a still very reasonable $35. S&H is $2 to US, $5 to Canada and $10 elsewhere (ROW).
So don’t hold back, I should have enough for a very long time.
As you can see in the picture, I still have a lot of Test Fittings and have also made some of those pesky T-Joints from the brake vacuum line to the vacuum canister. Each of those I am selling for $8 with the same S&H as above (unless combined).

The KLR vac line stays on it's own banjo, right ?
What's the major advantage of these ? Do you get more even pressure, or is it the fact that you aren't daisy-chaining T fittings together ?
What are the test fittings for ?
BTW, nice looking parts. Sorry for all the noob questions.

As usual I forgot to mention a few things: I make 3 different versions of the Vacuum Manifold (VM) for the 951(S):
1) 4-port VM for intake manifolds with single banjo bolt (up to model year 1988.5)
2) 5-port VM for intake manifolds with single banjo bolt (up to model year 1988.5)
3) 5-port VM for intake manifolds with two banjo bolts (from model year 1988.5)
A few cars have swapped intake manifolds, so is you want a VM, please double check which intake manifold you actually have.
I decided to start a new thread on this subject since the old one, found here , was getting very long a little difficult to navigate, but I think almost all relevant subjects were discussed.
TurboX, there are a number of installed pictures in the other thread.
Mroberts,
Correct the KLR banjo fitting stays on as you can see in the pictures.
Two major advantages: One port per function makes it easier to trace a vacuum leak and makes it easier to remember where what is connected. Each actuator has a certain air volume that has to be evacuated, which takes time if you are “sucking through a single straw”, in particular the FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) and BOV (Blow Off Valve) benefits from a fast response time. The VM is internally dimensioned so the sum of the vacuum lines presents the smallest cross-sectional area.
The test fitting connects to the banjo bolt with the banjo KLR fitting and VM in place and all the functions (FPR, Dampener, BOW, purge valve and whatever else you may have hooked up to the 5th port) and connections can be tested simultaneously for leaks with a hand vacuum pump. There is a picture of that in the other thread.

What diameter vacuum hose do you recommend ? I've heard that it's best to use as small a diameter as possible.
Also, one thing I've found that bugs me is that most places charge about $10 to ship vacuum hose, which represents about a third of the total cost. Sorry, just bitching

Ooooo ill take one of those vacuum booster ones.
Would you be able to toss it in a really small box? The Mailboxes place I use for all my shipping from the US doesnt take envelopes without a mailbox. I can pay extra for shipping if you want. Just need to know your paypal.
Great product for anyone trying to decide! Thumbs up!

We owe Laust a huge amount of gratitude for all of this. I know I don't have time in my life right now to take this type of thing on (and I am sure Laust is no less busy).
Thanks Laust!
