Limited Slip Diff's How do you identify them without the code number
I am looking at a reported lsd unit which has been changed out on on this 86 turbo. Car was totaled, not much left usable but the lsd. Any way to verify if it is a lsd? The way the car has been striped I find it hard to believe it's really a lsd unit and still there. With the wheels off the ground I tried to turn one wheel and the other wheel spun. With only one wheel off the ground it wanted to roll the car foward when I turned it.. Sooo..... is it a lsd unit? Any quick checks to test the condition?
I don't see any numbers on the unit.

Related question.
I have a receipt showing that a Quaiffe LSD unit was installed in my 951, but, of course, neither the transmission code, or option codes indicate that the car has LSD.
So, I lifted up the back end, and with the car in neutral, both wheels spin the same way, but if it's in gear, they spin opposite ways. Does it have LSD?

My car doesnt have the code on the car, but the orignial window sticker says my car has lsd with external oil cooler. All the listed ways to check for lsd are positives for me too. So what gives? why is it not listed on the options sticker??

I know that it will not be on the transmission, or on the option code sticker, hence the 'of course'
I was curious if the method used for checking if it was limited slip or not was valid.
I'm not a big fan of the 'check for 2 black strips' method of testing
