Good n Tight.

A lot of people have had trouble with them falling out due to deleting the mounting bracket (more vibration). Do you plan to do this?

Resurrecting this thread because I've done an extensive search and can't seem to find any torque specs for the Tial 38mm.

So the question remains, how much to torque the bolts (both those two the adapters and to the pipes themselves)? Or at least an approximate? Thanks

I have not installed mine yet. However, I plan on torque'n them to the stock torque of a stock wastegate then use the threaded wire. It seems that since it will be under extream presssure and heat that equal torque on all bolts seems logical.

one of my bolts forthe adaptor plate snapped off when i was removing to replace a burnt out paper gasket, looked like rust had seized it in there.

I noticed that the new Tials no longer come with paper gaskets, but instead use a stainless steel gasket. I guess they finally learned eh?

I went very tight, and drilled the bolts for wire. I used copper gaskets.

If 1/2" is cut off the end of the stock dump pipe, its a painless install (no loosening the crossover or crap like that) and the stock bracket can be used.

thats good to hear, i ended up cutting some out of a sheet of copper, worked great. There are probably people running around on the paper gaskets that have leaks and don't realize, mine was fairly small, nice jet of black soot confirmed my suspicion.

Hey Hally, how's the repair going? Hope you get up and running soon. The photo's look pretty sad, but better that than the poor guy who's RX7 burnt to the ground at Eastern Creek 2 weeks ago while I was there. Took about 1 minute to become toast so I'm glad nothing like that happened to yours. My KW's have cut 2.5 sec's off E ck and Oran so very happy.
