Bill's 86 951 - 330rwhp at 23.7psi
I beg to differ. My dyno sheet says 333rwhp and 330trq at 21.4 psi. My AVCR is set at 22 psi. And yes, I use 100 octane race gas exclusively on the street. $70 to fill. But hey....look at the fun I get out of it. After all the 951 is not my daily driver.

Thanks Mike. Let's do some higher rpm runs on your car next time, the HP was still climbing when we let off, give it an extra few rpm's and you might have a higher number than Bill..
Anders,

I also have some room to grow.

My turbo is pulling through the stock airbox 2" snorkel. I do this to pass the smog visual, but it is a Major Restriction. I plan to fabricate a 3" snorkel for the stock airbox. Then my turbo will be able to really take a deep breath for a dyno pull. Mike S is using a cone filter.

Exactly, I am amazed by how stock your engine bay looks after all those mods and that much power.

Yep that picture is Bills. It looks stock unless you're familiar with 951's.

It was 243 at the highest, and Carlos who owns the car was a bit dissapointed.

Since the Dyna-Pack is new at Devek we offered Carlos a free run on a DynoJet and then backing on the Dyna-Pack. We did this today with only a couple of hours apart.

Turns out that the DynoJet and DynaPack are 2-3% off in power readings, and if you leave the engine lid closed on a 996 it will get 20 hp less on the dyno.

So we ran it again with lid open and produced 273 hp in 4:th, 253 hp in 5:th and 283 hp in 2nd gear. On the DynoJet we got 277 hp in 4:th...

Oh, and Randy came in today and we found 30 hp in his car at 15 psi..

944TurboStar,

Yes, the engine bay picture you see above belongs to my car.

And yes, I fabricated a custom J pipe. I used 3" exhaust piping I got from a muffler shop. I bought a straight section and a pre-bent elbow that I modified. 50 degrees is the largest pre-bent elbow available, but it was not enough. I had to remove pie sections from the elbow, then weld it back to get the tighter sweep. Lots of fitting in the car with the intake manifold removed for mock up clearance. Then lots of grinding. Last was fence black powdercoat. And the results, you see above. To the non-trained eye, it looks stock.

That is except for the semi-rice yellow "Turbo" script. I did this to draw the non-trained eye away from where it should be. A focal point so to speak.

Turns out that the DynoJet and DynaPack are 2-3% off in power readings
So I guess that means that I have 340 rwhp or 391 crank or almost double stock?

Either way, the car with all my Guru stuff is now fast enough to scare even me.

The 2-3% is an indication on an equal time run. On the DynoJet it is impossible to load the car so the time it takes to make a run depends on the power of the car. We found that on a 277 rwhp (DynoJet) 996 it took 11 seconds to do a run. On a car closer to 500 rwhp it took about six seconds.

We took the 277 rwhp 996 and put it on the Dyna-Pack and got 262 hp on a six second run (like the ones done on the dyno day) and 273 hp when done with a 11 second run. We also did a 12 second 2nd gear run in the 996 and got 283

So if any of you guys want a high number we can do a long run and get that.
hp.

The key is to be consistent and all of you guys who come to Devek will have a good baseline for your cars.

Yes I believe Davinder had done the same thing ...
I wish someone had written the recipe for this
I would bet there would be a good numbers of buyers
