That won't help, dude. The Supra head flows about 2000 CFM.

Also - Divine - as I have been thinking about this throughout the day, it occured to me; a 370 RWHP Supra DOESN'T need Racelogic - this is very suspect.

99% chance he is bull****ting you - we are back to square #1 - your *** is in trouble, I'm afraid.

There's no difference if you're racing in a straight line or on a roadcourse. Just because we see the Supras do mostly drag racing doesn't mean it can't turn. They're good handling cars. Only chance we have is on a tight autox course where there's no chance to lay down the power.

Guys, I love the 951 but I also respect the Supra (MKIV). They are more nimble than you think, I have seen few driven hard on the track (road course), they do well. Totally different animals... The only thing I do not like about the Supra is the weight and the seating position. For some reason the seats are too elevated and tall people hit their head..
Powerwise, don't mess with the supra! It's a race engine detuned for the street... If I ever figure out which seat to use to be able to use a helmet in a Supra I will start looking for one (of course after I'm done modifying my 930).

Because thats where the real big power comes on. Stock twins running outta gas at about 550rwhp. If you want anything more than that you either have to upgrade to a bigger dual kit(alot of times more money than single because you need two of everything).

Most people go single because a large single is cheeper than a big dual setup in terms of parts and install. Not to mention with cam's that come on earlier and the tuning just right you can have a monster of a a/r on the turbine over 1.00!!!! and still spool the damn thing at around 4.5k. Now 4.5k for us sounds nuts...but, you have to remember with a decent computer mod your readline can be anywhere from 8k to beyond. So having full boost at 4.5k aint bad.

Most reasonable sized single turbo supras with full supporting mods lay down 500-550rwhp on pump fuel and lower boost levels...i.e. 18-19psi. Now when you dial in the race gas and turn up the boost(25+psi) is where huge #'s come in depending on your setup and turbo.

I have a friend running a Sp74 with a few bolt ons running 20psi on pump fuel and he is around 550-560rwhp. On race fuel and 28psi he said he would be happy with low 700's. Ofcourse the sp74 has made alot more than that so who knows. He needs to think about his timing and what kind of cams he wants to go with...then we will find out what kind of power he is really capable of.

I am sure I showed you my friend amr's supra short block is300. He put down 713hp on 24psi and 104. Riding in that car was just insane. You get to 150mph so quickly is scarey. You truely need a wide open tollway in order to enjoy that kind of hp cause at 150 its just getting warmed up.

Racelogic is a very good system. Amr had it on his is300. He could run 255 tires and still not blow them loose. Its amazing how well that system works and dont forget about the 2step function.

Divine if that guy is really running race logic....dont run him from a stop. 2step on a supra running good tires can cut really insane 60ft's. Try and catch him on pump fuel go from a roll and make sure to brake boost. Its your only shot at him.

I still think he is bull****ing you on his #'s just trying to bait you. 370rwhp in a supra is nothing. Good luck to you sir...and fillm it. So I can see it. haha.

Thankyou for all your replies! It looks like I'v got my work cut out! I promise I'll get it on film for you guys, I'v greatly enjoyed watching all your clips in the past so its only fair (that silver Supra in your video is FAST!). As for his figures I'm affraid those were just his current stats, the extra mods for fuel etc are to support the tuning he's currently doing! When I get to race him he'll be running 550+rwhp with an HKS single turbo! My only hope is to agree no traction control and try to get use my low revs power to get a headstart (remember my car will be a pretty sorted 2.8 running 18psi when I run him, not standard! ).

If I lose does anyone want to buy a black 944??

Divine - what are your engine controls? We need to have a talk.
We need to get you up to about 28 psi. You will need around 455 RWHP to avoid knockout in the first round.
Send me a PM with all specs, if you have a minute.

Jim you and I both now the only shot he has in hell is if the guy is running pump fuel and even then I jsut dont see it. Pump fuel mid 500's to the wheels. Even with the wieght difference divine's going to need 500hp. If the guy is running race gas and will be tuned....well you can forget it. Remember the supra makes alot more tq than we do as well.

Maybe if divine can get low 500's he would have a real solid shot at pulling the supra on pump fuel.

2.8 951 high boost race gas vs single turbo MKIV on pump fuel 18psi would be a close race depending on the setup's.

**** man either way it will be badass..just get the damn race on film.

I wish I could be there man. Sounds like its going to be one hell of a race. I didnt realize you were building a 2.8ltr....a 2.8ltr would KILL a 370hp supra.lol. Those #'s are obviously nothing even close to what he will be running so they dont really matter. What kinds of #'s are you looking for outta the 2.8ltr?

18psi wont be enough...I like jim's idea. Take her up to stupid boost levels....throw in the real good fuel and give it hell. heck he could be a really ****ty driver too.lol.
