I have both a 1994 Supra TT and a 1991 C2 Turbo and let me tell you they are both totally different cars. The Supra can never have the prestige and the Pinache that a porshe has on the other hand Porshe can never have the HP potential with the Supra reliabilty.
I personally think i would soon need a small single turbo to whoop all these AMG monsters out there, which i am sure be very difficult to do in a 951,right ? Btw a small single shouldn't cost me more then $7000 installed & tuned along with new clutch and should be good for 500 -530 rwhp/470 rwtq

luis its hard to say.
The porsche would no doubt be alot more money and might not be as reliable....actually....defenetely not as reliable. No doubt the porsche could make some serious hp with that one though.
Imagine the aftermarket of the 968 turbo with like 10 years behind it? It would be pretty stupid. Thats one sickly fast car stock.
People just buy the supra cause its cheeper. You could have a porshe with the same hp but, the cost to benefit comes into play. For some people its worth it...they love porsche's and couldn't see themselves driving anything else so they dont care about the money.
Regardless it still makes me sad they didnt do a production run of the 968 turbo. If they did I might buy that instead of a supra.....**** the money! A 968 turbo.......ahhhhhh well atleast I can dream

14 Turbo S's, 4 Turbo RS's, unknown number of replicas.
There are at least a couple of extremely nice 968 Turbo's here at rennlist. 1 of the 4 Turbo RS's made, and a number of very well done replicas. I imagine 'lister 968TurboS will chime in. He's got an exceptionally well done 968 Turbo replica. Beautiful car.
Oh yeah, 951 hands down. If I had the money for a 3 liter turbo, it sure wouldn't be under the hood of a Toyota.

What kinda power plant and power do these cars make ? I always liked the 944 shape but the power was never enough for me and modding them isn't cheap and reliable either.
How would you compare a 951 turbo S vs a 968 Turbo including the replica's ?
944 Fanatic,
Your car looks awesome, can yopu please post some specs on your car & some ext/int/engine bay picts ?
Thanks

It is basicly a 2.5L turbo engine bore and stroke to 3L. The block it self is stronger with better bore. The engine had a very lo compression ratio 7.0:1, and at about 1 bar produce 305 Bhp and 369 lb-ft. God knows how much power it would make with a better ratio like 8.5:1

968 Turbo S
968 Turbo RS
Comparing a 944 Turbo S and a 968 Turbo S isn't even fair, let alone the Turbo RS. The added half liter of displacement and further chassis refinements in the 968 give it headroom that very few 951's can boast. 968 Turbo's are the stuff of 951 owners fantasies. Porsche detuned them so as to not detract from their flagship 911, the numbers listed at flat-6 are conservative at best. All that, and they are among the rarest Porsches ever produced.
Thanks for the compliments on my car. I've been having a tough time getting her running but I think I'm close (reference mark sensor and fuel pressure). I just need to get the time to do it.
Some of the mods:
Vitesse Stage 2 turbo, chips, maf
Milledge Head/Cam
Lindsey 3" exhaust
Tial 38mm
55# injectors
billet fuel rail
Zeitronix wideband datalogger
996TT wheels (295 tires out back)
Safeguard systems rollbar
drilled and slotted rotors
Pagid blacks
stock rebuilt calipers
and hopefully soon a pair of Sparco's which are long overdue
Suspension is stock koni's right now, as soon as the car runs reliably I will be installing some suspension goodies:
Bilstein Escort Cup coilover f/r
either 968 M030 sways or potentially Weltmeisters
and I'm currently in the middle of a group buy for a strut brace and a pair of camber plates
This is about the most recent pic I have of the motor. I'll have to get some more.

My 1994 TT is a 6-speed with 27,000 documented miles with Kinesis wheels,Japan only front active spoiler,exhaust,DP,upgraded 97/98 headlights,HKS IC piping,sway bars,upper strut bars,short throw shifter,lowered and i just declined $36,000.
I guess i would have sold it if he had offered me $38,000 but he didn't,lucky me or else i would be looking for another one.
