Default I did it! I bought my dream car!

well I did it tonight - I bought one of my all-time favorite cars, a 1986 Porsche 944 Turbo. ck out the ad below. the car was posted on ebay but he was open to selling it w/out going through the bidding process. when I saw that it was only an hour away I called and went after work to see it. I bought it tonight for $8500. I don't think I stole it or anything but considering the condition and work that was recently done I think I got a pretty good deal. Today is a great day for this car enthusiast. I look forward to participating in these forums for years to come.

Congrats man! You'll enjoy it for sure.

How many thousands do you have budgeted for repairs & mods now?

Seriously congrats and welcome to Rennlist - you've found a great resource to complement your new baby. Now go get them belts tensioned.

I hope this was a mis-print ??? should be in the 145 range, leakdown numbers are high also.

Very clean looking car and welcome to Rennlist.

Didn't a rennlister have that car? I thought somone had it a while back and had problems with it??? I can't remember. I hope all works out for you. That car looks bitchin'! It has exactly everything done that I would want to do to it in the looks department.

guys, thanks for your responses and I appreciate the kind words. I hope it's not the car you're referring to (the one w/the problems). lucky for me one of my best buds is a certified Audi tech and works at a Porsche/Audi dealership. we'll see how it goes but this is a lifelong dream come true and it will work out one way or another.

Hey,
I kinda know that car. I recently met the owner at a Rennlist get-together. I looked over the car pretty well, seemed clean and tight. I think he just did a complete brake job. Anyway, congrats on your new toy! Where are you, if your ever interested in a local 951 meet, let me know.

Zermatt Silver w/ black is an awesome combo!!! It was kinda funny, when I saw it; our cars were almost identical. But mine looked stock then. Your's had the really great accents (tt wheels, alum pedals, shifter) that set the two apart. Awesome color and the right accents. Does it have any mods? Wasn't the mileage pretty high, like 140k or so?

yeah, it's 130k on the odo and it has a chip - and yeah, I love the wheels!

Leakdown: 10% 9% 9% 9%

That has to be wrong, I would have it rechecked
