My car had a brand new clutch + PP and stock everything but exhaust. . . shook like crazy. Just to be safe, IMHO, I will never get close to a dynapack again.

This time last year my car was baselined on the dyno at Autothority and that will be the only I ever use if I can help it.

Hmmm interesting, some have issues, some dont, and there does not seem to be a reason why! Thats annoying. Ah well, I will be back on the dyno this arvo to tune up to 10psi and use a rolling road for numbers.

Adrial - yes, dynapack is very different with regard to clutch overheating.

I dynoed a 928 with an at least 80% limited slip differential on our DynaPack at DEVEK days last weekend and it also had bad vibrations. Have dynoed several cars and had no issues and the car after the one with the problems was a similarly setup 928 race car of the same model year and had the same transmission type.

My theory is that when the DynaPack puts a load on the car the two pods are not putting exactly the same load on the two wheels and with a very high lock in the differential shaking can occur. Interesting was that during the first dyno run there were no problems but on the second the clutch pack had probably heated up more.

thanks David. I thought I might end up meeting you, as I was dating a girl at UTC, but that dirty old man thing got in the way. Once I get the engine rebuilt, and some Vitesse lungs installed, mabe we can have a beer in Chattanooga, as my best friend lives there anyway. Thanks for the info. E

You sure couldn't do more damage than Jesse, so I'll meet you in Blowing Rock for a beer sometime! Twigs is the restaraunt. Great Food. Huge fireplace. Super bar. Let me know the next time you head to Beach mountain and we'll meet up. Could be a fun drive through the mountains if you bring the beast! (by that I mean your car )

UPDATE!

It turns out the newer Dynopack's use different control software which may eliminate the vibration seen on older Dynopacks... I will be looking for one to update this issue. Certainly the two I went on that vibrated were older types.

Quick Reply: Anyone had their car on a dynapack dyno?
