Default 88S or 89 Motronic needed ASAP; HELP!?

You can use any 28-pin DME just by swapping the 951S chip. (same for KLR).
You can even use an early 24-pin DME, you will need the 951S code on a 24-pin DME..

would it run with the n/a code (i.e. if testing a no start problem)?

right, 130 for the 944 v 132 for the 951

I was wondering if it could run at all with a 944 chip
