Anyone have a better picture of the race one? I have not seen a good shot of it yet? Where does it begin and end?
Thanks.

I have the same question...usually anything labeled as "race" is more expensive. I'd like to see a comparision shot between the two...not what they have, but someone on here who actually has the thing mounted.

I think that Brian (Red1) just put a splitter on his...haven't seen it yet. Brian, what did you pay and where did you say you got it??

I believe porsche951redt has one. Its either that or something that looks exactly like the race version. I think he uses it on the street too and I havent heard of it being destroyed yet.

Yes, I have a "street" AIR splitter. Instead of drilling holes in it, I took the bumper cover off and bolted the splitter to it from the backside. It took 13 1/4" bolts in all. It's SOLID.

I got in a rennlist group buy. I think I paid $200 + shipping, or something like that.

I painted it flat black. Looks real good on the guards red, plus super easy to touch-up.

Here are a couple of pics of the race version.

It wraps around the nose piece. It doesn't go under the nosepiece. It's very light and will crack along the bottom edge if it gets hit hard with a rock or anything sizeable. I always run door edge molding to prevent the cracking on the track.

I don't think this piece would be good for street cars.

Cost is $125.00. I just bought my third one.

^^You have a lot done to the front of the car. I would like to see what it looks like on an otherwise stock 951.

And here is the street one. Keep in mind my car is on stock springs.

Mine was $250 as well.

I also have the "street" and with my car lowered an inch and a half it is scraps on EVERYTHING. I mean, I scapped on things I didn't know you could scrap a front end on. I knew this would happen so I left mine unpainted. At this rate, I figure I will be replacing it within a month. Here is mine, the pics arent that great but lets just say I can barely fit my foot under the front end.

Would a GT Racing splitter scrape just as much as the AIR item on a lowered car?

The GT Racing splitter will give you .5" to 1" more clearance over the AIR splitter. (Assuming ride height stays the same)

The tradeoff is that the more ground clearance the splitter gives, the less effective it will be at reducing air pressure under the car.

The bottom line is that you WILL have to change your driving habits if you mount the AIR splitter and use it for public roads. I've had mine for a year and I've cracked it a little bit, but it's okay because I was fully expecting it to happen and have budgeted for repainting it.

I use the air street splitter. I have the Bilstein escorts, and it just so happens that in order to make good corner weights, my car likes almost stock height in front (lower in rear), so the splitter works out VERY well for me.
