NEEDED: CLUTCH FORK
#7
A new fork is very expensive, but it's a wear item, and it can break from fatigue. Even a "good" one may have seen 20 years of use. When I had everything apart for an engine rebuild, we debated whether to change the fork, which was worn a bit but looked good. It broke about two years later, when the clutch was less than half worn. I had a racing lining, and the judder on take-off probably contribted to the failure of the fork. Anyway, some food for thought. I got a new fork at Paragon, and Sunset may also have (relatively) good prices. YRMV

My mech was telling me they only change a few a year.
Said the cast iron just is not to forgiving under strees, just cracks and thats it.
