Joe: Thing is, i was mis-informed on the length/width needed to wrap the exhaust x-over pipe (was told 1" x 50' was enough for that job).
But Paul (944 Fanatic) started a thread regarding some work of his, he used the 2" type and also confirmed to me that the 1" wrap would need to be at least 100' not 50'.......ordered 2 rolls of 2" x 50' but only used one for the x-pipe while replacing the oil sump gasket.....
So i ended up with a new roll (still packed) of 1" x 50'.......maybe use it for my 3" velocity down......
never mind !!!

did you wrap your headers/cross over pipes with them intalled, or did you remove them to wrap em, i was thinking about doing it but if you need to remove the exaust i might not be able to do it myself

FSA - I have 72 pound Siemens and a Vitesse MAF
Kid - you can do it without removing them, but it will take all day. Also, you will get better performance with the wrap, over the heat shields. (I have data )
and you cannot see if the headers are cracked with the factory heat shields in place. You will definitely not be able to remove the heat shields with them still bolted to the head, unless you are an INCREDIBLE badass mechanic.

That's good news, L. I'm installing ST2 in a couple of weeks.
Should be interesting to see how the spool up is compared to ST3.
If you're seeing 15psi@3250, ST2 should boost 15psi before 3000.

Just one of the benifits of working from home and having an internet browser automatically refresh every 30 sec (need to for work reasons)
