HOLY SH#@!&*@T Vitesse stage 3 spoolup
I have been working on the stage 3 spoolup a little bit. Today I got the best logs yet. 14 psi @ 3209 and 15 psi @ 3254 RPM.
The throttle response HONESTLY feels like my 6.0 liter pickup truck - and I don't have to say anything about the top end, do I??

Yes, I fixed it. I was only running 18 psi this morning.
I removed the heat shields and replaced with DEI header wrap so that I can now see if there are any exhaust problems. Believe me when I tell you that the DEI wrap is WORTHWHILE.

Can you give us a complete spec on your engine?

I have'nt used the DEI wrap on the 944t but I wrapped the exhaust on my Ducati, the exhaust goes up near my leg and then under the seat so, it keeps my ankle and butt cool! Good stuff!
How many maps per Boost level have you made?
I only run 18 and 22psi.

evil - you don't need different boost maps with John's stuff - the MAF compensates the way it should. My AFRs are the same at 15 psi and 25 psi.
Corleone - I have the stage 3, Andial race cam, Fidanza flywheel, adjustable fuel reg, Bosch 044 pump (Czech, "the real one"), zetronix datalogger.
I have to say the DEI is a good mod. You can see if your headers are broken (it is probable that they are), and I have logged that they retain more energy than the factory shields. - though you might get more longevity from shields.

At 3350 rpm I had 23 psi and at 3400 rpm 25 psi. This is of course a result of some boost overshots. If I had used 4:th gear I think the figures had come earlier.
I now have a new HKS 30/37S to use and I have a bit larger hotside of .73 A/R but same 55/60 mm wheel. Maybe I will have boost a couple of hundreds later. But I dont care, when I wot I do it at 4000 rpm and most important is to have instant boost from there.

DEI is a brand name for an exhaust wrap, which i currently wrapped my x-over pipe with.
I also have 2" x 50' Thermo-Tec wraps not yet installed, as well as 1" x 50'. Plan on wrapping the headers......
Special Tool: How were you working on the spool? dialing in leaner AFR in earlier rpms? advancing timing?
