Any of them are an improvement over stock. All make it easier to work on the car. I am in love with the 321SS 4-1 headers with V-band setup. Guess it depends on your budget. Maybe just buy a used crossover until you buy the house, then get what you want.

While I like the SFR headers, my budget only allowed me to buy the Lindsey cross-over, works very well.

What is wrong with your cross-over ???? Lindsey will just be modifing your part.

Have you tried rotating the wastegate away from the TT and retighten ??

If you plan on getting the headers at some stage, ten get the SFR, the LR stuff is just a stock replacement, and you want to go V-band if you can!

you've been driving around with that exhaust leak? cap that thing off! I had it blow of on me once, and heard/felt it RIGHT away, thought a icracked my headers real good. I lost some boost, and it really made a good amount of noise, on stock exhaust at least. that will def be a reason for limiting boost. thats your #1 priority, fix it! It's just a tube with a rubber cap that snakes to the top of the engine bay, or just cap it how it is. either way, its cheap.

Echoing David, what's wrong with your current crossover? It's nearly impossible to actually bend the crossover without causing other obvious damage! Rubbing doesn't sound like a possibility, I think you just have it misaligned.

Little spout is a test port, just cap it off (an old alu lug nut works well).

well I have an 86 and so the tial wastegate being installed didn't fit very well.
so the shop just guessed and cut and rewelded the wastegate pipe at a different angle, well they missed and now the wastegate is slammed against the driveline.
if the wastegate is messed up I will go after the shop.

"Lindsey will just be modifing your part."

can anyone confirm this?
because this will rule out the lindsey piece.
being that mine is hacked.

as for that stem that isn't capped, there isn't even a line that goes to the top of the engine bay!?!
the stem is broken about 1" off of the cross-over piece and is uncapped.
I could feel exhaust coming out of it.

broadfootracing's site is down, so I can't even look or anything. Maybe it's just temporary?

I doubt that lindsey would use YOUR crossover to make theirs but I think they would take yours as a core. It looks like they do have a core but I highly doubt they would use yours to do it. That would take too long I would think, but Im guessing here.

Does anyone have any personal experience with lindseys 2 piece crossover or their 3 piece crossmemeber? Does it seal? And does the 3 piece hold the engine ok?

but would they give me $400 for a hacked piece?

I'm still torn, I regretted not getting the stage 2 headers when mine went, and now is a chance to get them again.

sigh.

you only live once,
will $1500 effect me in any way a ways down the road, maybe not, it wouldn't stop me from getting a house, but it doesn't help.

investment vs. fun

I keep trying to rationalize it, logic vs desire

DAMN IT!

Is this stem to be capped off threaded? If so, what size? If not, then can I cap it off with some rubber? I found that tube thing dangling when I got my car back from getting a clutch. I didn't know what the heck it was. Is it really that big of a problem? I guess it would leak of lot of potential boost pressure wouldnt it? Maybe this is why my car wouldnt boost over 13psi.......LOL. Live and learn.

P.S. Sorry about hi-jacking the thread.

I doubt the problem's with yor crossover, maybe the way it's installed? There was one on ebay recently, might still be there.
