I was preparing to buy it. Talked to the service manager at Barrier about the car. He considered buying the car before Scott bought it, had nothing but good to say about it. Barrier did all of the maintenance from new, very nice car. In the process of checking up on it, my friend/mechanic (Squire Tomasie) offered me his car for about the same price so I bought it instead. I am sure you will be very happy with it. From the sounds of it the original owner spared no expense and Scott took great care of it too. Squire knew of the car but did not recall working on it, but again a positive impression.

Thats how my car started out, 89 Blk/blk. Its got a few mods now though. If you hang around in this neck of the woods for any length of time, I dare say your will too in very short order.....

There is no way I could go back to a stock S.

Spark plug wrench saved my ***... I think my PO didn't tighten down the last set of plugs enough and one of them popped out when I was driving down the fwy.

Were you at Cal Speedway last weekend? I popped out for a couple hours on Sunday to see my old Crossle (a 35F). That is what my 89 951 replaced. I agree, those Ford fields certainly are nice!

Black/Black completely stock! Very nice! I always love to hear about completely stock 1988 Turbo S and 1989 Turbo cars. In my opinion, they left the factory as works of art, as truly special editions of the 944 line, and it is always nice to hear about more examples that are still exactly as Porsche intended them. (My 1989 Turbo is also completely stock, as is easily inferred. My 1986 Turbo, on the other hand, is modified from stem to stern. )

My turbo S is stock too (Save for the polishing of the wheels and aftermarket head unit one the PO's did) and I love it that way. I feel real value of the S vs normal is in stock form.

I do have something to tinker with that is not stock however!

Previously I had an 87 951, red with black. Needed a clutch when I bought it - put the new clutch in myself in the garage. It was fun! Had to sell because we had a kid and the car seat wouldn't fit in the back. I missed that car quite a bit, but decided if I was going to get another one, it would be an 89. I tell ya, I keep telling myself its going to stay stock, but I keep looking at that Lindsey stuff...
