Sorry to hear about the accident
Just so you have a datapoint, I recently used a shop in LA that charged about $500 per panel (ie 1/4 panel) to straighten and repaint.

Ouch -- sorry to hear it's more than just body damage. I hope the repairs goes smoothly!
The shop I used is in LaBrea -- called Dentwerk. They have a website of sorts - http://www.dentwerks.com - but it's basically this guy named Julio and his crew. Not sure of their reputation, but they do enough business for the local BMW dealership and we've used Julio for paintless dent removal at a 968.net get-together early last year. A 968.netter, "flash", was impressed enough with the job Julio did on my car that he used the shop for a complete respray of his 968 (though I think that was an insurance deal and flash spent alot of insurance money to get the job done right). If you decide to use the shop, you're welcome to come take a look at the results.
