You'd be surprise how much of the aftermarket stuff
are from Taiwan. Btw, for recirculation with catch
can, I think it's a good idea not to enlarge the hole
especially when we're all running higher boost than
stock.

I thought you just connect the a/o seperator pipes to the catch can and that's it. Why is everyone talking about drilling and holes etc?

I'd be curious to find out why you suggest not enlarging the breather.

Stupid question, but will the catch can effect emissions testing?

Hi Ahmet,
I'll rather not comment on this. Everybody has a
different theory on this. What matters to me is it
works for my set-up. BTW, to use just a catch can
with nothing inside is not very effective.

I guess -because I don't know the exact procedure- that if you use recirculating catch can, there will be no problem. This because the fumes will be burned and the oil it self collected. With ordinary catch can you might not pass the visual check.

I have the same concerns about having a drilled AOS now also, I may get more oil in the can, possibly, but maybe also I have greater crank pressure with a modded engine and it needs it? I really dont know te physics of it.

Well, there's nothing wrong with more vacuum in the crank case. Ingesting in too much oil vapor can reduce the effective octane rating (which should be a non-issue with an effective air/oil seperator), but other than that I can't think of anything.

Mr. Chen, this is a pretty significant issue to me. I would like to hear your opinions, feel free to PM me if you wish for the information to remain private. As a side note, I've removed that restrictor and recirculated with AND without a catch can successfully in the past.

Is there anything in the can? Does it have a Stainless Steel mesh inside?

The $34 glass ar compressor filter from Home Depot catches every molecule of oil and water and connects directly in-lne. It is clear so you can always see the level, much cheaper much more effectve, and has a petcock on the bottom so you can empty wthout even removng it (for you lazy bastards) - it even looks cool
Why would anyone buy anythng else?????????????????????????????????
