While we are talking about recirculating catch cans...
Here is one I got today. Some important notes about it.
1. It has a sight glass so you dont have to remove it to ckeck the oil levels!
2. It has a magnetic bolt in the bottom to attract any filings.
3. It fit in the postion above the headers near the fire wall no problem for you LHD guys given you dont have the cylinder there (I would assume). The bracket it comes with would even work, but I dont want to drill more holes so I am making my own to use an existing stud to mount off.
4. The ports are 16mm at the flange. This means that a 17mm hose will fit snuggly on the 18mm AOS port, and clamp down easily on the catch can. So you dont need a wacky step down mess of hoses like some offer.
Here are some pics... its a ricer brand GDL.

"Sight gauge" looks like crap and will soon be. Plastic hose and plastic parts in the tube fitting will degrade quickly. Anyhow, I've had my catch can for 6 months and it has no oil in it. If your does, you need rings. I will admit it is a LR unit (I followed the link to the "LR=fecal matter" site), but it fit and it looks nice, though I think it's useless. I thought it would fill up, but now I know I didn't put my rings in upside down and the oil in my intake is blowing right through the (Majestic rebuilt) turbo seals.

I had oil in my can, not much but some. Yes the sight (actually plastic piece, but you can fit glass) will get oil in it, obviously it will darken, big deal. Its a functional thing. Having oil in the can does not mean rings are gone, it may be one reason but not the only one. Did you drill out the air oil tube Deitz? Maybe thats why you dont have any oil in it, everyone I know that runs one gets some oil in it. Maybe you have not drilled it out and the pressure is promoting leaky seals? maybe the dipstick? I suggest you guys to a google on it, the name is up there. I paid NZD140 and included tube, mounting bracket, and clamps.

PS, that sight gauge is a simple screw in one, you can chose not to screw in the sight, or screw in any other one you want if you prefer anything type, but thats the one it comes with.

If you are maintaining the vac from the intake, then you may not need to drill it. Problem is, no one really knows what difference it makes... I only drilled because I had the nasty vent to ATM configuration, but I dont like it at all...
