Best 16" forged wheels for 951??
Hey guys just wondering what your thoughts are? I'm considering new and used wheels. Best Street/track wheels that is. Everyone is buying 17 and 18 so I thought maybe I can pick up a set of 16'' for cheaper but I can't find any. Do they still make them that small??

In the picture it looks like yours is an 87+, if that is the case the absolute best forged wheels would be the Club Sports from the 88TS and 89+ Turbos. They look great too.
Tire selection is not great however.

Matt you are right it's an 87. That is the conclusion that I came to myself(the club sport wheel). The BBSs and fuchs are all for the 86 and older crowd. What about fiske,SSR,centerline, who else makes forged wheels?? anything other than the club sport??

Jeff: no fuchs for late offset cars!
trackqueen951: go for the club sports, they are forged, or the ugly 928 sewer dish wheels which are forged too and actually a bit stronger! Most new aftermarket wheels are all 17" or larger. Old bbs like evil's or oem porsche wheels are the only good 16" you'll find.

16" wheel--possible alternative
i'm not a 944'er yet but learning my way as i expect to be soon.
the 87 cars use the newer/later wheel offsets and though not forged, an inexpensive alternative may be OEM 16" cast wheels that came standard on early 993's.
they were 7x16 and 9x16 with offsets that should work fine with the 944. As some 944 trackers/racers use same size front and rear wheels to balance away understeer, 4 rear wheels 9X16 may be an interesting approach as these wheels should be inexpensive to purchase....perhaps not as light weight as we'd prefer.

Y 16"? I would recommend going 17" for sure. You can put any late model P-car 17's on the car (7" F & 9" R). I have bought two diff. sets, at two diff. times, both for a very good price off Ebay (17" sport classics and 17" cup 2's). Plus, there are alot of 17" tire choices for street and a few for track tires as well.
I might have missed the point. Just trying to help

No need to thank me. Sewer lids are bad ***.
245 is the largest street tire youll find for 16s. But you shouldn't put anything larger on a 8" rim anyways.

I thought if you go with 17s you have to buy the camber plates. Isn't that correct?
Oh well, forget getting a deal on 16s I should just look for 17s and pay up!
Thanks everyone for your input.
