Installing LR parts: New 4" Exh, hard pipes, Stage V cooler & panel, short shift
Just getting excited to add more bling!
Adding to the current Super 75 Turbo, MAF, and other upgrades....my conscience is better knowing I will have a:
Stage V intercooler
Stage V header panel
Short Shift Kit
4" exhaust
Polished Hard Pipes
Next wave:
4" Mass Air Bullett assembly
Polished breather tank
Roll Cage
Race seats
Race bumpers, windows
Question: The turbo downpipe is 2.5" right???? I guess I will have to find a 4" downpipe piece to make full use of the exhaust upgrade. Any thoughts?
It will be interesting to see if there is any torque loss on the dyno. Last run was 340HP & 336lbs torque at wheels on 11th pull (hot) @ 16lbs boost with 3" exhaust and stock downpipe from turbo.

Dude it is not full 4 inch. It goes from a 3 to a 3.5 midway to a 4inch. There is NO way to fit a 4 inch full exhaust up in there. I highly doubt it unless you cut out part of the oil pan or something. But I have heard the sound on the 4 inch is incredible. Good luck!

How do you fit the 4 inch up to bolt it to the back side of the turbo pipe? That is such a tight space there. I can agree that from there you could fit a 4 inch.

That sounds like some goodies you have there, that's great! Did you happen to buy that Stage 5 Intercooler and panel from Lindsey Racing?

"This exhaust is made from aluminized coated steel exhaust tubing and grows along it's length from 3", to 3.5", to a full 4" in diameter."

I'll second that a full 4" exhausts fits, I've seen it with my own eyes. It was someone elses car, unfortunately... sections of it were oval, not round, tho the surface area was supposed to be the same.

Let me clarify. I am not 100% sure about it being to fit, as it being pure bolt-on. Depends on the set-up you have. A few guys on here say it can work. They may know better than me. I can only speak from my personal experience. As of right now, Lindsey Racing has my car and they are installing the 4 inch system on it. I orginally had their 3 inch system on it too. I decided I wanted more power and less back pressure for my application. I'm going to be running their Super 75 turbo with a "p" trim wheel too, and a special downpipe that they made just for me. So at least for my 3.0L, I know it all fits but it is tight in there. I have seen several pics of the finished product, and it looks great too. I also had the entire system thermal coated and the tail pipe chrome-plated. It looks sweet.
