Dec 18th North Georgia Drive Video!
Alrighty, well I went on the drive this past weekend, and man was it a blast! My friend and I got 2 hours of footage, and with lots of stupid commentary to boot . Its not edited or anything, just raw video. For any of you guys that also have web hosting, if you could mirror this that would be great, as I *only* have 30 gigabytes of transfer per month, and this video is 850megabytes.. ish... Anyways, if it gets to the point where too many people are downloading from just my site i'll have to take it down and figure something else out, maybe bittorrent.
http://porsche.the-cow.org/movies/ <---- Enjoy
(P.S. pictures from the drive are at http://porsche.the-cow.org/gallery/ )

Hey,
Nice pics/vid. I see you got our runs on video, hehe.
Have any idea of the 1/4 mile trap speed of the 944's? I haven't run yet with my current mods, my best near stock mph was 98.6; but now I have ~30 more rwhp so I would guess 102-103.

That race was pretty brutial...I take it your 951 is bone freggin stock. A bolt on GT is a pretty slow car compared to a bolt on 951. With even a chip and LBE mod you would be pulling him. The video was fun to watch it was just really long.lol.
BTW liked that yellow 996 and the turbo. Was the turbo trip/6speed/x50?

the turbo was a six speed... A. I am "bone freggin stock" and b i had a boost leak =p turns out one of my intercooler clamps were loose.. i replaced it and took her for a spin.. huge difference. I was probably running similar to the performance of a NA... Anyways, it'd be interesting to try another run Steeda with my car closer to actual stock performance.
I looked on mapquest and figured out the route we took.. We went up 400 all the way and continued for approx 30 miles on 19, then took a left on 180 and were on that until it dead ended into 60. We took a right on 60 and went until that dead ended on 76 (its not actually 76, its like "old 76 rd." ) and then turned around and took 60 past 180 all the way back to 19. about 200 miles i registered on my odometer from roswell and back =D Quite a fun trip

sounds like fun. I was wondering what was wrong with your 951. Cause when I was stock I was pulling GT's with very little effort. Glad to hear their was indeed something wrong with your car. We wouldn't want a bolt on GT thinking 951's are slow..hehe
Really good footage and I did enjoy watching it. Locally here PCA does have ralley's every once in awhile. I really liked watching the "through the woods" section.
