Default Just installed the "044" Bosch pump...

The big boy, Motec recommended for 700 hp motorsport one. AND...
It just isn't very much noisier than stock, sorry. It IS much bigger, so you'll need a rubber sheet insulator because the stock beer can holder is too small. You will also need to fab an intake side-hose barb adapter - which was simple.
The pressure side is the same.

Thanx, it doesn't make much more noise then stock?

How much fuel pressure are you running and what kind of FPR?

3.3 bar with the afpr from Paragon - which has remained rock solid and consistant through years of pressure changes.
It just isn't that much noisier, I can faintly hear it at idle only.

Special Tool,
I just got my Bosch heavy duty fuel pump, the out flow side has a larger "male"fitting that does not match up with the hose between the pump and fitler. What did you do on the end that mates to the filter side??
Lindsey said it matches up with OEM turbo hoses, I have a set on order but they are the same part# as the S2...

Thanks in advance

most of the time you can just heat up the hose with a hair dryer and squeeze it on

Thanks Tom,
The end of the hose from the filter to the pump has a fitting on it (male) and the pump has a male fitting that is larger, so even if it is unscrewed on the pump side the existing hose fitting will not work...

Really? The 044 had the same fitting on the pressure side. I only had to fab something for the intake side.

from another forum:
0 580 254 044
200l/h @ 5bar (12 amps) some say 220l/h at 5bar
172l/h @ 7 bar
input thread size 14 x 1.5mm
Output thread size 12 x 1.5mm.

and 0 580 254 910
200l/h @ 5 bar

suppose to be the same as the one I installed (with the hair dryer) and I guess also the same as 0 580 254 942 (Bosch number of the large pump from Lindsey Racing. Usually on eBay here:

NZ - because I am superman and I have to prove that I am not lacking in certain areas... I needed a new pump and I am building a 2.5 16valve solid lifter engine, so I might even need it after.

Tom - I don't understand your post. Are you saying that You read in a forum that the 044 output is the same as the Lindsey upgrade pump? There is no comparison between the Lindsey Bosch and the 044 - the 044 is a $500 fuel pump, the REAL one.
