Default Rothmans Turbo Cup in Excellence

Did anyone notice the Canadian Turbo Cup's were running full 4" exhausts!! With stock K26/8's. And I thought my 3" was huge . Has anyone on the list ever used a 4" monster exhaust?

Mark

Does that include the Downpipe? I cant imagine how it would fit...

Evil944T has a 4 inch exhaust, with a 3 inch downpipe, from what I've read.

My Excellence showed up yesterday and the article was done at Summit Point where I instruct for Bill Scott Racing great article! The exhaust is a walker exhaust and it eliminates the cat.

Awesome! Thanks. I got the free trial issue with the Rothmans Turbo Cup in there... wow. I'm really liking that opened up exhaust. How is the spool time on that thing? If you have any video or audio clips... I'd love to see them!

I live about 40min south of the track... I can't wait to get the car up there (hopefully next summer) and take it out. I've only been around on ride alongs but love the track layout. You'd think after working at two shops that thrive off cars that go there, I'd have wiggled my butt into the drivers seat once or twice... but it still hasn't happened, haha.

...if I can get away from next summer with dyno time for custom chips and one DE, I'll be a very happy man!

I dont think that a full 4inch could fit. At least up near the turbo...3inch is hard to squeeze.

Can't wait to see the issue...our track car has 3" to the transaxle, then 4" out the back with no muffler. Wastegate dumps to atmospher, Chris Cervelli built this system, it came off the race car that we parted.

Almost no turbo lag, it pulls hard from 3000rpm up.
Awesome! You are a lucky man to own that. In fact, that rear shot of your car has been on my mind more than women for the past few days

EDIT: You don't happen to have any clips of the beast in action, do you?

Hey Pete, two questions...

1) Summit Point. Where do you live? What shop do you go to? I hope you frequent the track, as I'd love to meet you sometime, talk shop, and see the car in it's natural environment

2) It said you hit 145 right before turn one... at 6200rpm in 5th. Was your car regeared? In a standard 951 tranny, 6200rpm is almost 20mph higher.
