My 951
Just picked up my first 951. I've had a 85/1 and an 85/2 NA before. She's got a LR Dual Port Wastegate w/ screamer pipe, LR 3" Turbo Back w/ Magnaflow muffler with stock tip, 951MAX Multiboard, 3 Bar FPR, LR MBC, Hella H4 Headlights w/ 4300k HIDs, VDO Boost and EGT gauges. Not sure what turbo is on the car though. It's got a V-Band clamping system for the hot side but still uses the OEM J-Boot. Still trying to figure that out haha.

Very nice car, looks very clean, but where is your windshield washer tank reservoir ?

Thats the car I had made plans to look at and the seller sold it the day before going to look at it even though I had talked for over an hour with him n basically said I was gunna get it.... anyways, its got a k27/8 fyi

The car had a massive exhaust leak at the x-pipe. It was missing 2 bolts and there was a gap about 10mm wide. That would explain for the incredibly bad boost lag. I haven't felt that since I drove my friend's RX7 with a T88 strapped to it. I've since fixed that and tightened up all the clamps (a few were loose causing an idle fluctuation and a small coolant leak). I have to pull the crank pulley off tomorrow to put the timing belt cover back on. Good thing the only belt on the crank pulley is the A/C.
It's not a K27/8. As you can see from the engine bay picture it's still got the OEM J-Tube. The OEM J-Tube has a turbo side diameter of 2" and a K27 should have an inlet of 2.75" so the OEM J-Tube shouldn't fit. No doubt that it's upgraded as it has V-Band connections on the exhaust housings but I'm guessing it's a K26/8 from a 951 S that's been rebuilt or some other turbo but it's definitely not a k27/8.
The fog light fuse keeps blowing now and I can't seem to figure out why. I'm thinking the relay is stuck causing it to draw too much amperage and it's blowing the fuse...hmmm

hehe its ok man. it happens. n i figured it had an exhaust leak the way he was describing the lag. btw, im running a k27/8 with j-boot and afm (hopefully not for long lol). it could be a k26/8 though cause he said somethin bout it getting an engine swap from a turbo s... idk, he told me 27/8.
anyway im glad your fixing it up n its still in VA. maybe I can meet some of the VA people soon.
