Ok, I am due for some paint and body work in the near future and think I will take off the door/fender guards. The cars pictured here without them seem to have a cleaner or more classy look.
I take it cars without them have been painted? Or did the later models not have the guards?

The body mouldings were an option for all years I believe (?). I took mine off with the repaint and like the look, but it didn't take long to get a little door ding where they would have protected it!

black944turbo... can't wait to see the pics.... would love to see pics of the engine too with the MAF. how do you like that lindsey racing maf? is ther a way to use the MAf with another program or chips? or do I need to use a piggyback system or the mafterburner or powerperfect?

I think you can run it with a set of custom chips. I love the maf kit. I think that it is by far the best investment I have made. The car spools so much faster now. Anyways, I can't wait to see how she looks on stock wheels. I want to go sleeper. I am keeping the Polished C2 Turbo wheels for when I feel like looking sharp. Anyways, PM me with any specific questions about the maf.

I've been toying with the idea of polishing the IC piping. Since the pic I have polished up the porsche and rerouted the vacum line for the BOV. I just got my phones on today, so I have to show how the car looks now. I am running polished centers. Let me know what you guys think of the polished centers. Sorry bout all the pics. I am realy excited about finally having these wheels. I love the look of C2s but the phones are cool to. The car drives better with them.

black944turbo - that is an awesome looking car. love the phone dials. are you interested in selling your black car. I have been looking for a black car. any idea on how much hp you are running?
Boosted951 - unless you are selling your red 951? I would love to buy yours too.
I really want a 951. Please help me out guys. My budget is $10k. Should I buy a unmolested one and mod it myself or should I get a modded one already? Any advice?

Well, first off, you probably shouldnt have announced how much you were willing to spend on a car here. Everyone who was gonna sell for under 10k now know how much you are going to pay and will all sell for 10k.
However, answering your question, I am curently looking for a modded one that runs well. Reason? Because it is already modded with things I would do and it saves me money. A modded car sell for the same, if only a little bit more, than a non. However of course, the car has been "molsted," running harder than normal and sloppy mods will hurt a car. It is really up to you. 10k, you may be able to find a high miled (100k+) in good working order. It is hard to find modded 951s because, they are highly saught after. However, there are a few everyonce in awhile that pop up and, if you get lucky, youll pick one up for yourself.

Sorry man, No amount of money would get me to sell my car. I love it, I appreciate the compliment though. As far as buying a modded or non modded car, it all depends on how well the car was cared for. Some modded cars have been cared for as well as non modded cars. I barely run my car under full boost, and then you have some unmodded cars that have been beaten on all of its life. Just thoroughly check it out. Good luck, thanks again for your compliment.
