It looks like December 4th is OK with everybody.
I still haven't scheduled yet, but you can bet that it's going to be early in the day. Maybe 8-9ish.
Claus, I'll ask Paul (the guy in charge of the dyno) and any other questions you guys have on Monday, when he's back in his office.

Have you posted in the 993 forum, looks like a couple have found their way into the unknow of the water coolers (they must be lost) but there are quite a few local 993 and 993 TT (modded too) guys who might be interested.

Yeah I did. If you know any more guys, let them know what's going on, and see if they want to get in on this.

Just got off the phone with Paul, here's the update:

They have a Dynojet, which only measures Air/Fuel, Horespower, and Torque.
This dyno can not measure boost.

Claus, you can tweek your a/f between runs.

He will give us a printout of the results, or he could email us the results, or he could burn them onto a CD, or a disk.

He might be able to give us 3 runs, and a/f, for $50/car IF we hit 20 cars.

The business is open Monday-Friday, but he said he will make an exception for me and this group, and open on a Saturday.

Paul said it would take about 5 hours to dyno 15 cars, because of the work involved in strapping the car down. Strapping each car down takes approximately 20 minutes.

They also DO HAVE AN AWD DYNO, but they charge $75 for 3 runs and an a/f sheet for any AWD cars.

NOTE THIS: PAUL IS GOING TO PARIS, AND HIS SCHEDULE IS NOT YET FINALIZED, SO HE WILL EITHER BE GOING IN JANUARY OR DECEMBER. MOST LIKELY HE WILL BE FLYING IN JANUARY, BUT DECEMBER IS STILL A POSSIBILITY FOR HIM. I HAVE TO CALL HIM ON WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 1ST TO MAKE SURE HE IS STAYING IN CALIFORNIA, SO WE CAN CONTINUE WITH THE DYNO RUN. IF HE IS FLYING OUT TO PARIS IN DECEMBER WE WILL HAVE TO RESCHEDULE, BUT HE IS MOST LIKELY LEAVING IN JANUARY.

IF YOU GUYS COULD PM ME YOUR PHONE NUMBERS SO I CAN CONTACT YOU IN THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER TO CONFIRM THAT IT WILL BE HELD ON THE 4TH, IT WOULD MAKE THINGS A LOT EASIER.

DEC 4th - perfect. Or a bit earlier if the operator is flying out.

Thats sounds just about right for my new 78 928 motor.... Hmmm. Hope so. Have you had any interest from the 928 side?

Cyrus - I saw that you are asking if am comming on the list.

Its October 25th - I finished the bottom end on the 4.5L this last Saturday. The heads went in for cutting and guides today. Spring tension has finally been approximated, so we will order up some springs very soon (no info on OEM specs for springs)...

Megasquirt is being built.... Suspension is purchased....

My fingers are crossed.

Joe,

Since dynoing 15 cars only takes around 5 hours, we can start later, like around noon.

Oldguy,

Ahh my dream car..

Yes, the dyno operator said that they charge $75 for 3 runs and an air/fuel sheet for any AWD car.

OG,

Wow, are you really going to commit from Ridgcrest or Mammoth?!
The shop is actually in Pomona (10 minutes away from Upland).
Here's the address:

244 Pioneer Place
Pomona, CA 91765
