hosrom i believe david's are jet coated, but yes it is better than the blankets. i think the blankets are a decent cheap solution, but i paid $75 for mine, not $20.

Here's how it was done on the 968 Turbo RS. The passenger side NACA duct feeds air to it.

That's amayzing ....
I would love to see a picture of the hood ...
But, as I recall the 968 hood has a place for those ducts
as opposed to the 951 ..??

Jason-

Have you guys considered selling pieces like that? I can't imagine it would be difficult to have made. I think most every 951 guy would buy one if they were cheap and easy to install. Maybe KLA could build them.

Wouldn't be a bad idea Max...I'll see what we can do. I already have a list of folks that want a copy of the chips in the car ;-). I'll shoot a picture of the hood and post it in a few minutes.

macnewma : Thanks for posting the links for the ceramic coatings. But i was looking for a cheap alternative. Since that 'coating' requires removal of the headers, then 'cooking them.

Exhaust wraps are the same, requires removal of the headers. And as i mentioned, we here are 'limited'.

Jason: That looks like overkill i was looking for some kind of blanket to easily cover those headers. The oil cooler housing sits too close to the headers, and i was looking to keep heat away from them.

But i remember seeing some of you guys having fabricated your own blankets which looked really nice and clean, not to mention cheap and easy to install.

Jason, i also presume IF you guys sell those header covers/blankets, i recon it would be a bit expensive right?
