Default more..

I am located near charlotte, NC and looking for a good basis for upgrades:

I would like to start autocrossing and do some DE's but maintain as much originality in the car as possible.

Main concern is finding some slotted rotors front and rear for this now. Can't seem to find them for 86 model.

Boost enhancer seems like nice cheap upgrade??

Weltmeister or Autothority Stage II?

So much to do; awesome tuning car, look forward to all of the upgrades!!!

As far as upgrades go I would suggest the following combo. Everyone has had great results with these:

Accuboost controller + Guru Chips

However, the Vitesse chips seem to be just as good as the Guru chips. Pricing between the two seems to be the same.

You can use the Accuboost inline with the cycling valve (CV) or bypass is altogether. Bypassing the CV is the will give you the best spool up. You cannot bypass the CV with the Boost enhancer. Plus the Accuboost costs less.

Here are the links:

These upgrades are an inexpensive and safe way to raise hp. They are easy to install as well.

Well, I'm glad you got a what (seems to me to be) a very good deal at what I assume to be about $8500; I'm sad, though, that these cars seem to continue to depreciate...I keep hoping that they will start to rebound...From what you describe, I would have guessed that to be a $10-12K car, maybe a bit more if everything was tip-top shape...

Default price

alpenweissisnice:

Well I beleive it was worth 10-12k just VERY good timing,

local small town dealer some doctor unloading three cars, this was one of them. They didn't even know it had a limited slip or what it was.

The local porsche shop did a PPI and said I would NEVER find one in this good of shape again

ilikemy944:

Would love to drive that route sometime; may be awhile before I can get free, sorta in the doghouse with the wife for getting this third car, but it was too good of a car to pass on and less then five miles from where I live!
