Default I can roll down my windows after shutoff?

I got out of my car and noticed that I can still roll down windows after shutting off the car and took the keys out. My fan wa also running. When the fan stopped, I could no longer roll down the windows. Is this normal? Bad wires?

i would say your all good. If you open the door (without the keys in the ignition) enough for the door light switch to be fully out, then yes you should be able to operate your windows. Also Fan running when shut off in my experience is a GOOD sign. mine always does it and shuts off 30-40secs later i feel better that its doing that than not.

If one door is open, both windows could be rolled down, no problem.

But when you say that when the fans stopped running, the windows couldn't be rolled down is unusual.

Well I actually noticed now that the fan wil lrun for a while, then turn on and off a few times. This is even a few minutes after shutdown.

It's controlled by a thermostat.

the windows are powered up until the relay sees a signal from the door pin switch, at that point the relay shuts off power to the windows. If your interior lights do not come on, assuming they are set to do so, when you open the door, the relay may never shut off. In a car that is not driven very often, this will eventually kill the battery. You should be able to roll your windows up and down until you open either of the doors, after that there should be no power to the switches.
