Technically his is a 94 so it is a SN95 chassis, not a fox body that was shared with the fairmont, granada, capri,.........

I do quite a bit of performance work on mustangs. Anyway, I have a 2001 GT convertible at my house right now that's getting some work done. I was driving it around a bit yesterday and the cowl shake was so terrible I thought the top was going to pop open. To think that I raced these cars at one point. Most of the time when I do work on these cars I don't even test drive them when I'm done. Not interested in the slightest but the owners always have a big grin. If they only knew what else is out there.......

Billy,
I've always enjoyed watching a good feeding frenzy.
Mustang is Ford's best ATTEMPT at a world class sports car. The Corvett out classes, out performs, and is respected in much higher circles. These are all signs of a world class sports car. You see, Billy, the Mustang is not even respected on it's own soil.
How many years ago did the technology in our cars hit the road???

All my buddies back home had muffstangs, I've driven them from '67 to 2001 and I can tell you they are all bark and no bite. My '83 NA would pull away from an '89 GT with a cam and torque converter with a stall. When I got my 951 I took some mustang guys for a ride and still have not had a muffstang owner that wasn't speechless. I totally raped a foxbody this summer, first race was an embarrassment to the stang, second race I gave him a head start(he had slicks) and still pulled past him in 2nd. Mustangs are easy from a punch to smoke. Note all races were on a closed country road.

I'm amazed at the amount of bandwidth we waste on a troll like this. I once drove a Vortech supercharged 1996 Mustang Cobra (V8 32 valve) with 3.73 gears. I was pretty fast. I'd take my 951 over it any day.

What we really need is some proof on video. I just so happen to have a couple of video someone posted a while back. Sorry, can't remember who so I can't give them the credit they deserve.

There's a guy at our local autocross that kicks almost everyone's *** (mine too) with a modified 2002 SVT Mustang. It's got coilovers all around, r-compounds and 400HP to the wheels, and a good driver. He is always about a 2 seconds faster than me (and other 944/951 on street tires) in a tight course, and about a second faster in a long, open course.
I still would NEVER own one, but don't count them all out.

...what?
I respect Mustangs for what they are, musclecars. To compare them to sports cars is just stupid IMO, but wanting to defacate on their hoods... thats just immature. Be a real car guy and respect them. Many modified 'stangs go extremely well in a straight line. Hell... some Mustangs WILL kill us on courses... just not most of them
