Since when? When I lived in Raleigh (5 years ago), I had to inspect my cars.. I think I need to move back!

Most chips including Vitesse are sold for "Off Road" or "Race" only!!!

John,
Raleigh does, but Pitt County doesnt. They will begin phasing in other counties but NC was approved for OBD-2 smog testing only so non OBD2 cars are exempt except for a visual inspection IE cat must be installed.

Silverbullett: I grew up in Lexington Park.

Jeremy Himsel: I wasn't comparing the two vendors, but giving my personal experience with GURU. The dyno charts I looked at were all of the charts that were offered. 1 on the Vitese site and several on the GURU site.

Stokes County (NC) is safety only for cars older than (I think) 10 years. No emissions checksyet. Guillford (Greensboro), Forsyth (Winston Salem) and Mecklenburg (Charlotte) do have emissions inspections. For grins, on my last inspection (I'm in Stokes) I had the guy look at my exhaust (resonator only, no cat) and he didn't catch on.

O.K. - How many of the chip users load their 951 on a truck so they drive only on race tracks never ever on public roads?

Guru Racing chips would pass emisions, just wanted you to know

Actually, almost all chips (dont know about APE) say that 'Recommended for Off-road use only'.
