Default Silicone hose for Intercooler and Turbo pipes

OK, I need to know what size couplers to order I am going to make every effort to get this sucker up and running this weekend.

I need couplers from the IC to the pipes (stock at this point), from the pipes to the Turbo (T04E, 3" Inlet I believe, I could always measure that) and anywhere else you guys could think of.

While we are on topic anyone know a good source, I think hose tecniques has them but I dont know if they are the best source.

Pipes to IC are 2.25". The throttle body if your on stock pipes your going to need an adaptor pc there - 2.25 to 2.75 IIRC, and are you running MAF to your turbo? There is a good supplier on ebay, user name highheatsilicone. Lindsey has everything in stock too, from stock to aftermarket; maybe Dave would cut you a deal on hoses and vacuum line kit.

whoops, guess I should have waited on your Huntley post. Is your turbo 3" or 2.75 inlet?

There is an ebay store called hightempsilicone that sells all sizes and colours. Reasonably priced and the guy ships quickly. Worth a look anyway.

I just did exactly this and went with hose techniques. Working great so far...not sure if its listed, but they just started carrying the 2.25" to 2.75" transition. I highly recommend them.

I have not bought anything from them yet, so I don't know about service, but there prices are better than most I have seen.

Taken from http://www.roadraceengineering.com/hoseandclamps.htm
very funny

Tuning Tip: Red is a good color for all around performance, however with a big turbo blue gets upwards of 10 hp, unless you have stock cams, then only 5 hp. Purple is best for bottom end power, mix with red for excellent mid-range. For NT cars, shift all recommendations one hue towards a warmer color. Yellow hose should only be used on high ion NTs or turbo cars with welded differentials. Proper Sticker Tuning can be a successful work around for any of these concerns. ;-P

Before you purchase silicone couplers, transitions or elbows; check the wall thickness, the type of fabric it is reinforced with and how many plies are there.

Our High Performance Series is 4ply Aramid rated to 500ºF withg a .195" wall thickness.

Just make sure you compare apples to apples. Turbohoses dot com for example uses a 2 ply .110" wall thickness

Thanks for joining up here, is there a way you can give me a run down of which couplers are needed? I am not the type to try to save 10 bucks (100 maybe, but 10 no). I would love to see a breakdown of the needed parts and pricing. You can PM me as businesses or vendors without sponsorship could be considered a no no.
