I'm been helping Texassooner (John) with his 951 lately and recently we installed the Guru 18psi chips. Well at first when we could only hit 15psi we found a intake leak. We replaced all the vacuum lines and I've verified that there are NO intake leaks, except for a tiny bit thru the oil filler cap.
I've checked to see if the WG is opening and closing by listening/air pressure, I can't tell for sure that it's closing 100% which is my guess to what is wrong.
We clamped off the WG line and, it does NOT make any difference. Still boosting to 15psi and no more. The WG is a Lindsey clubgate that is less than a few years old.
I can't see any noticable cracks in the exhaust or and signs of leakage (burnt spots).
Anybody have any guesses on what to check next?????
So far I think tomorrow I'll pull the WG to see whats up, but would rather not if it could be something else.
Thanks!!!!
Jason and John

hmm..
As long as you're not leaking anything, I would assume either a faulty wastegate that can't pass 15 psi (did you shim it?), or a software problem.

What elevation are you at? Here in Calgary (3700ft elevation) my K26/6 would not make any more than 15psi peak if I remember correctly. I also had the WG line crimped trying to get more boost. By redline, I'd only see something like 9psi. The turbo's too small to make up for the thinner air at higher elevations.

The LR WG is dual port, did you hook it up right? double checks vacuum lines for the WG?
You are leaking vacuum through the oil filler cap???

verify that your compressor bypass valve is OK.
Vac leaking around the oil cap wont matter as this isnt pressurized when on boost.
clamping the WG line should have you getting off the throttle as you see you boost gauge
rising over 20 psi, its scarry![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
With the car cold, check for exhaust leaks with soapy water. You might have a split seam somewhere under a heat shield that you cant see.
I have a couple of very small leaks and I still build all the boost I need.
