Default euro fogs: bright enough?

is the euro fog light kit that paragon sells bright enough to use to drive at night without using the pop-up headlights?

I've heard of some people doing it with 100w bulbs in the driving light, but it's not street legal.

even if it is bright enough, it too low to be very functional imho.

Fog lights are supposed to be VERY wide and low. Driving lights are very narrow and made to shoot far. Headlights are made for driving around the city.

No, fogs don't work well as normal lights. They work really well as fog lights though.

I know of a couple of other people who do this with their driving lights as well and claim it's fine. With 100w bulbs, though, I find their setups to be just as annoying to other drivers as driving around with the high beams on all the time (i.e., when they are behind me with the lights on, it is very distracting). I wouldn't do it.

The euro driving/fog light combo works extremely well for around town driving. I had the setup on my old car and will be doing the same modification eventually. However, when you want to hit the back roads at night it just doesn't cut it. So, in summary, the euro driving/fog light combo can be used in town to keep the car looking sleek, but on darker roads pop up the popups and you have yourself more than enough lighting.
