Default Europroducts chips: $100 shipped

I'm selling my old Europroducts chips. They are the Stage 2 versions with 43hp increase. For those who don't know much about these chips, they replace the stock KLR and DME chips. The new KLR chip changes the boost regulation from 0.75 bar to 1.0bar (about 15psi). The new DME chips adjust the fuel mapping accordingly and raise the rev-limiter 300rpm.

For anyone with a stock-chip 951 from '86-'88, this is for you. The difference in power is amazing. I'm selling these on here first for $100 shipped to anywhere in the US.

EDIT: Ooops, I forgot to post a picture for ya.

Sounds just like A.P.E. chips...

Do these use the CV for boost control, or something else? Do they use wastegate shims?

CV?? They originally came in a kit with shims. I don't have the shims available, but a member has them for under $10. Some have used washers for shims with fine results also. The KLR change makes the computer boost limit increase.
EDIT: For reference, the shims aren't needed for the extra hp bump but do aid it making the spring stronger. The proper shim size is 6.5mm IIRC.

Derek... the AutoThority chips actually claim a slightly higher gain, 48hp, but both sets have been shown to give similar results. Some rumors say that Europroducts, like many other chip vendors, stole the software from A.P.E. and only slightly modified it to claim it as their own.

I used to run europroducts chips and if i remember correctly you were supposed to drill one of the ports on the cv out to 13/64", i never got round to doing it but car ran pretty good with those chips, i still have mine lying around i will have to try and sell them!!

LOL With axles on the mind I thought he was misplacing some acronyms there

I guess that could be done too, but if it were my choice, I'd just toss that out the window and switch to AccuBoost. To each his own, though.

UK, You could post yours for sale on this thread if you'd like.

Now... do we have anyone interested, or what?

The proper thickness for the EuroProducts shims is about 3.5mm. The increase in spring-preload does increase the boost-level across the board. Then the drilled CV-cycling valve bleeds off boost that would normally go to opening the wastegate, thus increase boost further. The combined effect of both the shim & drilling gives a max-boost level of 13-14psi; don't go over that with the EuroProducts chips.

Are these chips (eurochips) same as superchips?

Simon, not sure if I'm familiar with superchips. Who distributes them?

"Are these chips (eurochips) same as superchips?"

Completely different chips. From the mappings, it appears the SuperChips are optimized for lower boost than the EuroProducts since they have about 10-20 degree more ignition timing across the board. I wouldn't run the SuperChips over 12-13psi max on pump-gas.

Simon... that means the computer triggers ignition 10-20 degrees of crank rotation later then the Europroducts chips. Because of this, the detonation threshold (sp?) is slightly lower, not allowing as much boost before detonating.

Now... bump... anyone want some cheap chips for a simple gain in power?? Come on, I know there's somebody ou there...
