Are Guru Racing on Holiday at the moment??
Does anybody know if the guys at Guru are on holiday at the moment as I have put in several emails and even tried the telephone a dozen times but can't get through. Everybody on here has said how good their communications are so can only assume they are away???
Unless you know different?
Cheers
Tom

Guru Racing = Dan.
He posted on the 912 board this morning. If you want to deal with Danno, you need to be patient.
He obvioulsy has a lot to do; a testament to his products, maybe?
Nice car collection by the way.
Can the 951 keep up with the Lambo?

Not yet, but then again the Lambo is not standard either. It makes the pavements shake at tickover!
really frightens old ladies and small Children!
I can understand if Dan is busy, that is the best way to be! As you say an excellent testament to his products. However customer service is essential too. If I can't get hold of him I can't buy his products!
And more importantly if I bought his products and had problems how would I get them resolved
I need to speak to him regarding chipsets for my 951 as I am waiting to fit a T61 HIFI
but do not want to run it with my current Autothority stage 2 chipset as everybody says that they run a lean mixture at high revs. So maybe a MAP system could be on the cards too.
Dan if you are out there give me a shout mate!!

You can blame me for taking a lot of Danno’s time. He has been helping me a few evenings with the blown headgasket and associated repairs.
While it can be frustrating not to get immediate attention (when Danno is busy), it is outweighed by the fact that he gives good and insightful advice and has the capacity and willingness to customize chips. Compare that to a slightly larger company with a separate customer service department, where the conversations often take the form of polite excuses.

Tom, I sent you an email last Thursday before I headed down to LA to help Frank put in a 944-Spec motor. Did you get that? I can resend, but I didn't get any errors back from your message I don't think?

Apologies to Danno, he had replied to my mails but due to my mail administrator his mails had gone straight into the trash can as bulk mail......... Sorry Danno!
Just waiting for a bit more advise from Dan on MAP -v- MAF.
Cheers

Todd, you can read this thread on the subject: "*&^@^%$#$ Headgasket!!"
Essentially I used a much too small water filter which clogged up while racing in the hot Dessert (Streets of Willow). With high rpm’s and a helmet I could not hear any warning signs (detonation).
David, I don’t think that "Rage" proved routine 25psi (occasional 30psi) on a K26-6.
