Injectors Universal????
Well I thought injectors were universal in terms of size or fitmit but I guess that is not the case???
I have peak and hold, low imp, top feed injectors that are not fiiting well into the stock location. They are from a DSM (450cc), which I was told is the same style of injector we use, however, it is the fitting that is a problem. It is a little longer than a stock injector and the O rings is not the same size. I think I can get them to fit, buit just always thought injectors were universal.
If you go to any aftermarket injector site, all they ask is the style you want; i.e. flow, top feed, low or high imp, etc. and they all fit. they never list them by vehicle type or year.
Am I missing something????

Measure the distance between the O-rings, center to center and compare to your previous injectors. The length of the tip after the O-ring doesn't matter.

Which are the best aftermarket injectors for our cars?
I read here a while back of injectors 'popping out' so Ideally I would want them to be 'clipped in' properly.
Also the correct impedence for our ECu's (though ballast resistors would be an option if everything else was OK) and I think 55lb.
All this at a good price please.
Any suggestions or should I just get stuck into the archives?
Tony

Any ideas??

ok, just tried unhooking the bat just to make sure the computer would reset for the new setting and still the same. It is definately running super rich as I reved it a little and got some back fires
Neighbors probably think I traded in the 951 for a 69 Camero. Got the "blagh, blagh, blagh" sound.
So, at least I know the injectors are good.
I emailed you about this also Danno.
