is there an auto cross this weekend anywhere around MA? Not necessarily porsche just wanna goof around a little, anyone know of any?

ok there is a write up and sign up for the october one but not for this saturday. How do i sign up for this saturday?or should i just show up?i dont really want to pay 60 when i could pay 30

oh yea and whats up with the dba limit, my car doesn't habe a muffler right now... it prolly wont pass huh?the rule was something like 90 dba at 75'.

My understanding is that the db limit is that a stock mufflered car will pass easily. even cars with ehaust "upgrades" should pass. the crack down was for the open pipe cars. Since your car is " turbo...sorta" I would think it would be naturally quieter than a N/A motor with open pipes. As for passing the standard, I don't think they are out there with a db meter taking readings, but if your car is loud, well, i guess take your chances.

BTW I think the db limit is in effect for all groups that are running at devens now, so it is not a PCA thing.

thanks, i guess i'll go down there and see what they say, if not i'll have to advance my exhaust purchase that i was going to do at the end of the summer

Actually, they are out there with a sound meter. All the clubs using devens have to monitor the sound levels this year. there is a grumpy neighbor causing all sorts of trouble.

90dB at 75 feet is pretty darn loud though
