Hello all, do you Electromotive guys gap the spark plugs at a larger gap over stock? I know with my Jacobs Omni Magnum on the NA I run a larger gap to see the full benefits of the increased voltage. I was planning on running NGK V-power one heat range colder than stock. This is in regards to the 83' Callaway. Also what type of TPS are you running? I am planning on getting the D-type (similar to the OEM) from Chris White. The current GM early swing arm style does not have the right geometry to give me a WOT reading while still obtaining an idle reading.
Thank you and take care!

Sorry I some how missed you first post. I use a stock plug right now but I plan to change to one range colder once I need them again. I remember I gapped my plugs at .03 when I installed them which if I remember correctly stock is .028 +- .002 so I went for the upper range. My system was obtained through Chris so I probably have what ever TPS he would suppling to you.

No problem Tom. Thank you for the information...I appreciate it! How do you like the Delphis? I have an identical set but have not fired the car yet.

I usually run the stock gap with no issues. The ignition side of the Tec3 is one of the lesser know features of the system. Electromotive pioneered the use of coil pack type ignition systems and have several patents on it. The current system uses feedback from the coil packs to determine several different ignition parameters.
One tip I do have is that you shouldn’t drive the car much if you are running on three cylinders – A customer of mine had a spark plug fail while on a trip – he limped the car home and unfortunately the extended running on three ended up damaging the computer.
The only plug that has given me bad results are the bosch platinums, no real explanation – just real world results.
