Wrapping Exhaust ... heat shields?

A lot of you guys are missing my question. I already have thermotec wrap, I am already decided on wrapping. My question was about removing the factory heat shielding that surrounds the manifolds and begining of the crossover.

I wrapped over the stock shields

if everything is wrap you can remove all the shield you want. If you remove the factory shield on the headers, the only good thing about this is you can see if you have a leak. The best advantage I found in removing a shield is the one under the master brake cylinder... but it's just to have more place to work. But since the hot side of the turbo is wrap it lower the underhood temp by few deg.

Finally, there is no point to remove your headers shield if you have no leek

you should be able to heard them, or if you remove the shield on the headers you can see crack... or like mine, it was almost in two pieces.
