If they are 1988, they are from a 924S square dash chassis. The 87 and newer 944 (oval dash chassis) mount a hub that the brake rotor fits on the top of the rotor, the early cars (square dash and early offset oval dash 85/2 and 86) have the brake rotor mounting such that the brake rotor is trapped between the rotor and the steeing knuckle.

It might be from a 1988 924S.

the rotor mounted behind the hub is a dead giveaway
